Alvie Cunningham's parents were Joseph Cunningham and Mary Brickey (see Brickey family).
Joseph's parents were Thomas Allen Cunningham and Lorena Clark.
Thomas' parents were James Cunningham and Anna Allen. They both died when he was about 2 years old. Thomas was raised by his grandmothers.
James' parents were Jonathan Cunningham and Susannah Black. Thomas was living with Susannah in the 1850 and 1860 census.
Anna Allen's parents were Thomas Seignor Allen and Elizabeth Summers. Elizabeth was living with Guilford Cunningham in the 1860 census. Guilford was Thomas's older brother.
Elizabeth Summers' parents were John Summers, Jr. and Martha Williams.
John Jr. and Martha also had a son named John Summers III. John Summers III had a son, Elijah Summers. Elijah Summers married Alsey Harrison Clark after her first husband died. Alsey had children from her first marriage including Lorena Clark. Lorena Clark married Thomas Allen Cunningham (see above.)
